Rainy day blues?

Not here!  :)

Is it possible?

...to have too many favorites from one session?  I could seriously post this entire session...and I may have to after the mom and dad have seen them.  :)

If I ever...

...get a shot of my own three kiddos like this, I will be over the moon!

Just one for now...but I have *plenty* more to share soon!  :)

Owen and Ollie

I love their names!  They are both adorable as ever...but I couldn't get over how much they have grown since I last photographed them (they are the striped pj kids from gallery one on our website)!

Ollie has the most amazing nursery ever...ahh, I can still dream about having a girl, right?  :)

Owen, who is reluctant to be around the camera at first, did come out of his shell for me - so cute!

As we were finishing up, I spotted a sweet doll bed and had to let Ollie play for a bit.  I love this pose that she struck!

I want to show so many more...but I have to leave a bit of suspense for their mom.  :)

Aha! I caught you!

This little cutie had a tough time relaxing during her newborn session.  Each time she dozed off and I started to press the shutter, she would snap to attention like she'd caught me in the act.  It made for a long day for her (very patient!) mom and me, but I am in love with the final results!

Quite possibly the longest post ever...

I was delighted to have the opportunity to photograph a project in Mexico last month.  It is an organization similar to Habitat for Humanity - constructing simple but sturdy homes for needy families outside of Tijuana.  These families are often lacking running water, a dry roof, and things as simple as toilets, but they have so much joy and hope in their eyes that it amazes me.  The grown ups are hard workers even though jobs are scarce and the children play happily with rocks, dirt, and discarded toys.  Although I've taken part in this project for several years, with each visit I learn more about kindness, hope, and the importance of family from the Mexican people.  Here is just a glimpse into what I saw...

I think that's it for now!  It's good to be home again.  :)

For those clients waiting on galleries, they should be ready by this Sat.  We have a ton of orders arriving in the next week or two - so lots of deliveries will take place very soon.  The finished portraits coming in look incredible and I can't wait to get them to each family!  :)
