Home again...

and very sleepy!

Elijahyawnblank_2

Stacy and baby Elijah Cade are home from the hospital!  After a surprise induction Friday, baby Elijah was born at a healthy 7 lbs, 5 oz on Saturday.  They are both feeling well...just tired out!  Thank you for all of the kind messages and well wishes!  Stacy promises to respond to any calls and e-mails as soon as she can - thank you for your patience in the meantime!

More photos to follow soon!  :)

I know that their mom was worried...

...about what I would write here regarding our session.  :)  But since all kiddos have "off" days, I just call it a fun challenge to make it into an "on" day photography-wise!  I loooove how their images turned out...see if you can tell who wasn't feeling up for pictures...I bet you can't!

Perhaps I should charge by the chicken :)

Coordinating chickens, roosters, a pony, a horse, AND a 3 yo and 8 mo was tricky!  It was definitely different from my normal sessions, but such a fun (and dirty) challenge. I'm sure that the mom and grandma had a chuckle when I showed up in a white skirt and flip flops to a farm. The problem is, I only have a handful of maternity outfits that still fit and are comfortable enough to shoot in, so that is what they got!

Chickens are especially difficult to shoot! Nearly every shot has at least one of their umm, non-flattering sides facing me or a head blocked by another chicken. I think this one was one of the few with all body parts accounted for - haha.
