Cloud forest - Boquete, Panama children's photography

Last month I was lucky enough to spend several weeks in beautiful Panama.  The climate and surroundings were like paradise, especially since I was escaping the coldest days of the year back here in Indiana!  Unfortunately the winds on the mountain were too strong for a few days to do more photo sessions and then we simply ran out of time, but I hope to squeeze in a few more mountain top sunset sessions next time.  But for now I'll showcase this adorable sibling group...

Alayna is an aspiring model so we did some work for her comp cards.  I think she definitely has the look and the personality for it!

Zion told me that he doesn't smile...period.  No problem for me 'cause we got this...

But...let's just say that he didn't last long...

Jadon is quite the handsome rock star...

But there is a scary pirate streak in there too...

And Ellie is both sweet as pie and full of spunk...

Happy Valentine's Day

Last year was outstanding for Blue Candy Photography! Stacy was honored to be hired around the globe (more of her England and Panama shoots will be featured on her blog soon). She also edited and contributed to several national photography books (you just may see her work while browsing Borders bookstore!). And most recently Blue Candy was the named as the Best Photographer of 2008 by Indianapolis Monthly magazine. Of course, we couldn't have done it without our fantastic clients, so we'd like to thank you.  And what better time to share the love than Valentine's Day?  (Plus, we hear that quite a few moms are hoping for photo sessions instead of flowers and jewelry this year, and we have the perfect way to drop the hint to the dads out there...)

Stacy loves that she gets to see many of you on an annual (or, let's face it for those of you with a Blue Candy addiction...a semi-annual basis). So grab a spot in your favorite shooting month with two ways to save. We can't wait to see you again!

Here's the scoop: we've set aside TWO session spots in each month at an amazing rate for our loyal clients and ONE spot each month for new clients. Because sessions spaces are limited, once the spots are taken the special will be closed for that month.  Offer will expire next Monday, February 16th!

March session fee - 50% off
April and May session fee - 40% off
June and July session fee - 30% off
August and September session fee - 20% off
October and November - 10% off

Our second special is equally sweet. Our $295 session fee will be waived for clients wishing to prepay for their print collection (starting at $1475). Yep, save $295 in any month!

(Note: specials are for classic, single-family session fees only. Once the special spots are filled for a particular month the special rate will be closed. Please e-mail bluecandyphoto@gmail.com with month preference. Session fee must be paid within five days to reserve a session spot. Firm session dates will be scheduled approximately one month in advance. Session fee is a non-refundable retainer for photographer's time and talent only.)

A bit of snow, eh? (Indianapolis Children's Photographer)

Wouldn't it be great if I could order snow for client sessions?  Falling flakes can be so photogenic if you know the tricks of shooting it properly, but it does actually need to be snowing at just the right time.  Hmm, snow-on-demand?  I'll work on it...
