I had a fantastic time with this family! The mom loves art, antiques, jacadi clothes, and black and white photographs, so of course we got along quite well. It meant so much to her to have her children's spirit captured. Even at the session she was overjoyed to see some of the expressions that I was able to get from them...and I think it's safe to say that she was over the moon at the results! Her final prints should be arriving any time now, and I know that she can't wait to see them framed on her walls!
This series of three squares will be hung together. It might be my favorite wall gallery from the session...but, as usual, I have too many favorites!
Yael was a delight to work with - so full of spunk and girly charm...
The photographers out there will nod in agreement that nine year old boys are not always the easiest to photograph...but Ari and I hit it off right away. (I'm certain that me having three boys helps me quite a bit - it is totally my territory!) Ari is such a smart kid - not only when it comes to football, but he knows all about geography and history too!
Little Naomi gave me a run for my money! It is no surprise that the toddler crowd can be both unpredictable and fast-moving, but I was up for the challenge and love the results. She is such a gorgeous baby!
Love this one!
Finally, I know that mom was worried that we wouldn't get any decent shots of the three kids together. I ended up with a bunch of great ones, but these ones particularly bring a smile to my face.
Thanks again C family - I hope you had a great vacation! Your portrait collections will be arriving very soon! :)
I was so lucky to be on the front lines of the final reveal day at the Indy Extreme Home Makeover. The MOVE THAT BUS moment was amazing and the family was ever so excited and grateful. I can't wait to see when the show airs on May 17th - I'm sure I will be in tears all over again! I have tons of photos to go through still, but I think that this one says it all...
Can anyone guess what I've been busy photographing? I'll give you a few photo hints...

Got it yet? There were a lot of excited people!
This one is much better bigger...to see all of the happy smiles! :)
You've got to know by now!!!
If you guessed ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition, you are correct! I was lucky enough to witness first hand the magic of the show this week and photograph the project for Estridge Homes. The experience AND the home are nothing short of amazing, and I can't wait to see the episode when it airs on May 17th. Tomorrow is the big finale when the deserving family comes home, so...everyone in Indianapolis, hop on a shuttle from the fairgrounds and be there to yell, MOVE THAT BUS!
More photos to come from this project (and quite a few blue candy sessions that I've been too busy to post!) coming soon...I need to get my tired self to bed! :)
