***A quick note to photographers who have recently e-mailed me...I try my best to return all e-mails and answer specific photography questions, however, the volume of messages has gotten the best of me in recent months. So if you are still patiently waiting, thank you, and I will get back to you as soon as I can! I've been thinking of posting a sort of photography faq's since I am often asked similar questions, so look for that hopefully in the near future. If you have any questions that you would like to ask me (what my favorite lens is or how I get the silliest expressions), feel free to ask and I will try to incorporate it. :)
On to the fun stuff...
This family is simply fabulous to work with! The children are beyond adorable (as you can see). Their home is exactly my style, so I find inspiration at every turn. The mom and dad are so sweet and truly excited to have their children captured in photos. Perfect!
Here is sweet Kate, who has grown so much since our session last summer!
And Caroline, who bravely overcame an attack of the rocking horse! I love her red hair so much. She has no idea the lengths that women will go to for hair this gorgeous!
And Jack, who reminds me so much of my oldest son. At our last session, he told me ALLLLL about the Colts' new stadium (and let me tell you, he is quite the Colts expert!). This time he had some silly jokes for me too. :)
Thanks so much guys - it was great to work with you again!
Great! I love faq's!
I'd love to know what camera and lenses you use and what setting you use the most (ie apertures and iso)
thanks!

I've been a fan of yours for a while...I don't typically leave comments on blogs where I don't know the person but wanted you to know how much I love your work! You are so talented and I appreciate you letting all of us blog stalkers look at your beautiful pictures. I'm an aspiring childrens photographer out here in California and know that I have a LONG way to go! :) Thanks again!

I don't know how I found this blog but I LOVE it. I'm an aspiring photographer too, and would love to hear your photography wisdom. The thing I'd love to learn is how you do such amazing shots by windows. I get the side view, but when you're looking at the window straight-on you must use some other kind of lighting, right? I'm curious about what you set your aperture at for that gorgeous lighting and if you use a flash. Thanks for all the inspiration. You really are an amazing photographer! I'd love to be able to take pictures like these some day.

Stacy - I have to echo everyone's comments. Your work is amazing and the images you create are truly special. I would love to know the details of your approach and technique...lens, aperture, post processing approach, etc. I am an amateur photographer who enjoys taking photos of my daughter and friends' children in Louisville, KY. If you ever entertain the thought of hosting a photographer's workshop on your approach, please sign me up!
